Introduction

AYUBOWAN! Welcome to our webpage!

The Sri Lanka centre offers a range of Trinity examinations from Music – practical and theory – to Drama & Speech, Communication Skills, Performing Texts, Musical Theatre and English Language.  The Sri Lanka Centre is run by the National Consultant, Mrs Ramola Sivasundaram, and a full-time staff. The business is carried out under the name Horizons International. It is believed to be one of the oldest overseas centres.

Western Music and Drama & Speech are popular subjects in government as well as in private schools. Parents are keen to have their children study these subjects to enhance their careers. The medium of instruction in government schools is Sinhala and Tamil Languages.  As result, parents are anxious that their children learn English Language, Speech and Music privately in order to keep up with local opportunities and opportunities for education overseas.

Trinity in Sri Lanka has lived up to Trinity’s reputation by maintaining high levels of administration and customer care at the Sri Lanka Centre with a dedicated staff and efficient service.

News

A concert and prize-giving for top scores in Drama & Speech and Music was held on saturday 24 March 2012 at the Bishop’s College Auditorium, from Initial to Grade 4.

GESE candidates from Grades 1 to 4 who received distinction marks were awarded a trophy. As the numbers were large, this was held in two sessions on the same day ie at 3pm for Grades 1 and 4 and at 6pm for Grades 2 and 3. At each session, we gave trophies to aprox 300 candidates.  We had chief guests for each session.

A launch and showcase event for the groundbreaking Rock & Pop syllabus was held on 16 March from 4.30pm to 7.00pm at the Park Street Mews, Colombo 2.  Many people were present, mostly from the media. Much publicity was received and great interest was shown in the new syllabus.
