Trinity Stars: Young Performers in English Awards

Preparing children for Trinity Stars Awards encourages them to learn the English language through drama, music and performance.

Children love learning language through performance. It helps them to put language into context and remember what they have learnt. At the end of Trinity Stars group performances, children receive a medal from a Trinity Stars expert and a few weeks later they receive a certificate that shows their name, the type of award and the name of the group in which they participated.

Starting to learn English by preparing for Trinity Stars Awards at an early age makes learning English fun and prepares children to take the big step from group assessment to individual assessment and recognition of their achievements through formal qualifications, such as Trinity's Graded Examinations in Spoken Engilsh (GESE) and, later, when they are older, English exams such as Integrated Skills in English (ISE) that assess reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in English.

Learning progression with Trinity

Trinity Stars Awards are designed for children aged 3-12 years, which can be followed by Trinity's Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE). When they are ready, usually at secondary school, students can prepare for Trinity's Integrated Skills in English (ISE) exam which test reading, writing, speaking and listening.
